Many couples contact us regarding engagement or pre-wedding shoots in the Provence lavender fields. What a lot of them don’t realise is that the window of opportunity for lavender photo shoots is very slim. Due to the hot temperatures in summer in the South of France, the bright purple blooming lavender quickly turns a dull shade of purply grey and at this point it is harvested. The best time of year for lavender field photo shoots is mid June to mid July, the last week of June and the first week of July being the optimum period most years depending on the weather.
